Playing Tourist for the Day

This past weekend I took my wife to the TKTS ticket booth for her birthday. I took my camera down with me and realized that I looked like a tourist in Times Square….so I just rolled with it. I didn’t take a lot of pictures, but I just took the occasional picture in Times Square, at a street fair on 6th, in Heartland Brewery, and of the theater where we eventually saw the final showing of “Bright Star”. Bright Star was a great show and both the story and music were written by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell (both who were in attendance…complete with a banjo performance from Steve Martin himself! Bucket list material). These pictures aren’t among my best, but when playing tourist, you’re not really looking for a “good shot”. I embraced my role. Sometimes you need to play tourist in your own hometown.
